On September 21, Emma Rosenkranz (VI) released her first album, \u201cFirst Sessions,\u201d which includes three singles titled \u201cStill Thinking of You,\u201d \u201cCaptive\u201d and \u201cMoonlit Memories.\u201d All of these songs are currently available on Spotify, Soundcloud and Apple Music.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Rosenkranz said the inspiration for her music comes \u201cfrom a myriad of places.\u201d One such place consists of stars such as Barbara Streisand, who taught her that music comes from \u201cconfidence and connection\u201d and that a song\u2019s quality doesn\u2019t depend solely upon physical attributes like instrumentals or vocals. <\/span><\/p>\n

In \u201cStill Thinking of You,\u201d Rosenkranz addresses her father, who passed when she was 10 years old. Rosenkranz reaches her listeners with lyrics such as, \u201cThe days are as short as saying I don\u2019t care, got you with me everywhere.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

When she was younger, Rosenkranz never predicted that she would record an album. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cFirst Sessions\u201d proved to be a huge commitment for Rosenkranz. \u201cI spent around 20 hours in rehearsal and around 70 hours in the studio,\u201d she said. \u201cFrom the small things, like making sure the cello sounded right, to the big things, like ensuring the message I wanted to convey was there \u2013\u2013 it took a lot of dedication and time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Rosenkranz said that the best part about releasing her album was the feedback she received, which she believes<\/span> displays that \u201cmusic transcends age.\u201d For instance, young kids have told Rosenkranz that they love the story in \u201cMoonlight Memories,\u201d and <\/span>adults said they \u201cconnected to its message about living in the moment and never in regret.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
