On January 26, 2026, Fieldston students were feeling lucky to break the three-week-long streak of full weeks of school. The first snow day of the new year! Across the school, students had fun playing in the snow, spending time with family and friends and taking a well deserved break after a stressful three weeks.

Alice Lyu, Form IV, and her family decided to head out to the park and go sledding! They made their own little hill and had a blast in the snow.

Ava Resnick, Form IV, and her sister, Kayla Resnick, Form IV, decided to walk around in the foot-deep snow outside their house. It was a true snow day, unlike most of the ones from recent years where it has barely snowed at all.

I also enjoyed the snow day with my sister, going sledding and spending time with family. We walked around outside, excited to get bundled up in our winter clothes but also very ready for hot chocolate as we got home.

All in all, the snow day was a very successful day: a break from school-related activities, a time to enjoy the outside world and a great day to be with family. Fieldston was certainly lucky to have the day off!
