- Food/ Cafeteria
Fix the Water Fountains! Standardizing cool temperatures and usable pressure levels
across the school. For you, the people.
Send out regular surveys about food in the cafeteria and favorite meals during the week.
- Increased Student Involvement and School Spirit
Hold monthly meetings where all students can discuss concerns and ideas.
Launch a suggestion box or digital survey allowing students to submit ideas on improving the school experience.
Make winning the official FSG-endorsed policy for all Fieldston sports teams.
- Tech/Access to Online Learning Tools
Advocate for access to online learning platforms such as Quizlet Plus.
Push for easy access to more training on important tech tools that can help with homework or projects, such as citations and academic source services.
- Increase Volunteer and Community Service Opportunities
We know it can be extremely difficult to find community service opportunities outside of school, so we will try to provide more chances for students to engage in community service and make a positive impact outside of school.
Organize school-wide volunteer projects, clean local parks, help community charities, or help out-of-school donation drives that can serve as contributions to the CSL graduation requirement.
- Transparency and Accountability in Student Government
Ensure more student representation in the student government. Hold an idea box that will be reviewed at the weekly FSG meeting to create a more community-driven FSG.
Ensure that the student government is more transparent and accountable to the student body. Hold monthly optional meetings where students can hear updates from the student government. There would also be a weekly email to report on what’s being worked on and how student concerns are being addressed. We want to be transparent in how we work for Fieldston.
We know we can’t come up with every idea. Even WE are not infallible, so we will also implement all other candidates’ GOOD ideas and ensure that none of their BAD ideas become initiatives. This is our oath to you, the people.
