Hello, Fieldston! We’re Hudson (he/him) and Mika (she/her).
Mika has been at ECFS since 4th grade, and Hudson became an Eagle in 6th grade. Throughout our time here, we’ve immersed ourselves in the Fieldston community and are now ready to take that commitment to the next level. We will lead the high school to a more connected and supportive environment where EVERYONE’S voices are heard.
Since joining the Fieldston community, Hudson represents the Eagles as a captain on the lacrosse team and plays football in the fall. You might also spot Hudson giving tours to prospective students and families around campus. When Mika isn’t at the writing center during her free periods helping students with English assignments, you can find her creating content for the ECFS Instagram account or producing new videos for the Eagle Eye TikTok page. During the winter season, Mika leads the girls’ squash team to (attempted) victory against competing schools!
Our Initiatives:
1. Student Discount at Savors!
We understand how much Fieldston students love coffee and matcha, so we have partnered with Savors Cafe to secure a 5% student discount on all purchases. (Note: Please don’t attempt to use this before we’re elected.)
2. Strengthening Inter-Grade Relationships
We understand the importance of friendship among students of different grades. A connected student body creates a tighter, more supportive high school community. Social bonding is key to having a healthy environment, which is why we’ll implement more community-building experiences. We’ll emphasize field trips, immersion trips, dances, and movie screenings during A/B bands in the commons.
3. Test Prep Support
We’ll establish a dedicated test prep support program where upperclassmen will help students with tests, essays, and study strategies. Additionally, SAT/ACT prep resources and study sessions will be available for those interested. We know how stressful standardized tests can be—but don’t worry, we’ve been there, done that, and want to help you succeed.
4. Coffee/Tea & Snack Bar
Need a pick-me-up between classes? We’ll establish snacks, coffee, and tea in the Commons—a nice, convenient place where you can recharge and connect during busy days.
5. Science Center
A dedicated space where students who excel in science can help those struggling with chemistry, physics, biology, and other science-related subjects. This peer-to-peer tutoring model will build community while improving academic outcomes. (Note: currently we do not have one.)
6. A More Powerful Student Section
Partnering with our Supervisors of Fun Times, we’ll get a merch/apparel store opened on the ECFS website, so everyone can rep white and orange! We’ll also reward advisories for attendance to Fieldston sports events. We will bring the EAGLE ENERGY BACK!!
We promise to listen, lead, and make your high school experience more connected, creative, and fun. We are here to make things happen for YOU. We’ll establish a strong cabinet to do as much as possible to make the high school experience more fun and tailored to the student body’s voice.
