Hey Fieldston!!! We’re Hayden and Jahdiel, and we’re hoping to be your next Fieldson Student Government co-presidents!!
If you don’t know us already, you might find Jahdiel wandering the hallways during his classes (joking – kinda) or Hayden searching for legal parking during advisory (watch out for the blue minivan!!). And if you do know us, you know our joint commitment to the Fieldston community! Whether it be through sports (look to the varsity lacrosse bench to find Jahdiel or the last heat of the sprints at track meets for Hayden), previous FSG experience (Jahdiel was already our rep sophomore year!) or academic commitments (find us in the library asking every possible person for help on our lab reports), we love to represent the Nest!
Because we know that you are definitely reading through all of these very, very long platforms, we are going to keep ours nice and short!
Course Selection Fair!!
- Just coming out of the course selection process for our third time, we have first-hand experience trying to sift through the course of studies. So, instead of flipping the pages of the book, we want to organize a school-wide course of studies fair, similar to the club fair at the beginning of the year. With teachers and students representing each class, we plan to showcase all of the possible electives and optional classes so students can easily see what they are interested in.
Putting the “student” back in Student Commons!!
- Don’t we all miss when Commons was our space? To re-vamp the commons, we plan to bring in charging stations for phones and computers, bring in permanent ping pong tables, and have student-led events during select A bands and funny time every week!
More school spirit!
- WE NEED TO WIN THE HOCKEY GAME. With us as FSG co-presidents, we will be bleeding orange more than ever. We hope to bring in more neon, more sparkles, and more representation of the Nest!
SENIOR ASSASSIN!!
- Rising seniors! We know you all want a senior assassin game, and if you elect us, we will organize and facilitate a grade-wide game of senior assassin our senior spring.
Suggestion Lockers (GO SEE LOCKER 29 in the 500s)!!
- Because we care about you, we want to hear your opinions as well! As the new year begins, we will designate a locker in each building for comments, questions, and suggestions for what we can do to be better co-presidents. As for right now, check out LOCKER 29 in the 500s for more details about who we are, what we wanna do, and how we’re going to do it!
