Hello Fieldston! We are Marina and Will— your future FSG co-presidents (hopefully)! We would love to introduce ourselves beyond merely our initiatives, which can be found in the email we sent to the upper school. We know that in the past community members have found it difficult to manifest their desires within Fieldston via the student government. As one of your co-president pair representatives, we understand this struggle and will make it our utmost priority to ensure that all students have a voice in our government, and prioritize the most feasible initiatives. Students will be able to rely on us to be responsive, dedicated, and approachable so that solutions can be implemented as soon as possible. We will bring every student one step closer to creating a more positive student environment through our several initiatives— which, instead of addressing a bucket list of complaints, are centered around one central theme: community building. Though the term may sound familiar, we truly want to increase the sense of belonging in the community— whether this is between kids in different grades or between teachers/mentors and students. In addition to being strong leaders, Will and I are also very passionate people—towards bettering Fieldston, our respective sports, our classes and so much more. We want to show our dedication to creating an improved school environment to all of you as we approach voting time.
