A very successful Homecoming for the Eagles! The anticipated occasion was brought together through students, staff, alumni and families for a day of fun and competition on October 14th. The atmosphere at the various sporting events was electrifying, with the stands awash with school colors and spirited signs. A huge thank you and congratulations to the athletes who participated in these competitions!
Girls Volleyball
Our undefeated volleyball team won 3 straight sets against Dalton. The game showcased exceptional skills and determination from both sides, keeping the spectators on the edge until the last point was scored. Shout out to our volleyball team for remaining undefeated!
Football
In an action-packed game, our football team won against Horace Mann with a score of 12-9. Extraordinary touchdowns and a solid defensive performance were the highlights of the game. Quarterback Dexter Barton and wide receiver Marcus Cooper-Leary produced many touchdowns and left the stadium in high spirits, celebrating a well-deserved win.
Boys Soccer
In a thrilling soccer match, the boy’s soccer team tied Dalton with a score of 1-1. Intense competition, exceptional goals, and enthusiastic fan support marked the game. Samuel Bienvenu scored an early goal, but Dalton had an equalizer through the start of the second half. Both teams displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill throughout the match, creating an exciting and memorable game.
Water Polo
In a highly competitive match, our WAPO team emerged from the water victorious against Trinity with a final score of 15-11. The game featured impressive goals and exceptional defensive plays. A special shout-out to Colin Bloom and Alden Harting, who both had a fantastic game with many combination plays. The team successfully protected the Bird Bath, let’s go WAPO!
Field Hockey
In a thrilling field hockey match that remained deadlocked until the very end, our team narrowly fell short in a dramatic shootout. The JFK school secured a nail-biting victory with a shootout score of 2-1. But, the field hockey team left with their heads held high, and now they are off to the NYSAIS playoffs!
