Hi Fieldston! We’re Susanna and Justin, and we’re thrilled to introduce you all to our FSG Platform. Since we became friends in the sixth grade, we have been preparing for this very moment, and we can confidently say that we are dedicated to serving all of you!
As your Co-presidents, we are looking to bring together our community that became disconnected as a result of the pandemic. We want to bring back life to our campus so that you all can look forward to school each day the same way you once did. In this election, we are looking to prioritize YOU, and with us as co-presidents, we will do everything in our power to make sure your needs are heard. We are genuinely interested in the needs of each and every one of you. As Co-Presidents, we will plan monthly roundtable discussions in which we will invite you all to sit down with us and address all your concerns and needs.
As upperclassmen, we realize that high school can be a difficult and stressful place, and we know what it’s like to be in your shoes. Which is why we are here to make your experience less stressful. It doesn’t matter if you are a Freshman adjusting to a new setting, a sophomore feeling stuck between under and upperclassmen, a junior stressed over the workload, or a senior dealing with the college process. We are here for YOU.
As your Co-Presidents, we are looking to not only strengthen our community but also to maximize fun. Some of the initiatives we look to implement during our presidency include planning more grade-wide events at school, re-opening the school store that we all once loved, extending breakfast time through advisory, to make sure you all are getting enough to eat before a long day of classes, creating more snack options (that don’t run out in 2 minutes) for all of us that get hungry during the day, and bi-weekly anonymous surveys where you all can voice your opinions and concerns that you may have.
These are some of our initial ideas, but there is much more to come. So stay tuned for more information, and feel free to let us know about any suggestions you may have. We hope you all are excited about our plans, because we definitely are. Vote Susanna and Justin for FSG!
