Fall is in full swing and you know what that means, it’s pumpkin spice season again! From Savor to Dunkin’ Donuts to Starbucks, the pumpkin possibilities are endless and we are here to tell you which is best. We rated each option based on 4 categories: taste, amount of pumpkin, price, and distance from school.
#1. Savor
Savor Coffee and More is a new addition to Riverdale Avenue. Having only opened over the summer in 2021, Savor is the most convenient option. It is located across the street from the back exit by the field. It is perfect for if you need a quick cup of coffee before your next class. We ordered a small pumpkin spice latte that cost $5.00. The latte itself tasted great, however the pumpkin flavor wasn’t really there. Overall, Savor gets a 7/10.
#2. Dunkin’ Donuts
Dunkin’ Donuts is the farthest option from school, approximately a 15 minute walk from the back gate of Fieldston. We ordered a small hot latte with 2 pumpkin swirls, which cost $3.75, the cheapest option. The pumpkin flavoring once again was not really there, so if you go to Dunkin’ we recommend upping the amount of pumpkin swirl in your latte if you want that pumpkin flavor. Overall, Dunkin’ gets a 6/10.
#3. Starbucks
Pumpkin spice lattes were first launched at Starbucks in 2003, and they quickly became their most popular beverage. Starbucks has sold more than 424 million pumpkin spice lattes since 2003 in the US alone. Starbucks is about a 13 minute walk from school, farther than Savor but closer than Dunkin’. We ordered a short pumpkin spice latte, which cost $5.65. It left a weird aftertaste which wasn’t very appealing. We rate Starbucks a 4.5/10.
